European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the modernistic Palau de Congressos in the ancient city of Girona for the 42nd annual meeting of the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB). This Mediterranean crossroads, shaped by centuries of cultural exchange, offers the perfect setting for bringing together the Magnetic Resonance community from across Europe and beyond.
The ESMRMB is the reference society for professionals engaged in MR research in Europe. Its membership is composed of experts in various fields, including Radiologists, Physicists, Engineers, Radiographers, and Biologists. It is a rich, multidisciplinary platform that encourages exchange across professions and career levels.
This year’s congress theme, Shaping the future, aims to take a bird’s eye view, exploring how magnetic resonance is shaping and being shaped by technology, clinical practice, and society. Where are we heading, and what might MR look like in 25 years from now? What opportunities lie ahead, and what challenges must we prepare for? We will dive into these questions and more in our three scientific focus topics: Future of MR machines, Future of MR in clinical practice and Future of MR in society.
Complementing the focus topics are two educational tracks: Building together, which high-lights tools for the MR developers in our society, and Broadening the horizon, which offers clinical perspectives on MR topics beyond the mainstream. In addition to the main congress, we have a packed pre-congress day program put together by different networks and working groups within ESMRMB.
We are delighted to host you in this historic city, where science, culture, and innovation meet.
We hope you will enjoy not only an inspiring scientific program, but also Girona’s rich gastronomic tradition.
Wishing you a productive meeting and an unforgettable stay in Girona!
